TV presenter and actress Annabel Giles has died after being diagnosed with a brain tumour just months ago, her children said in a statement.

TV presenter and actress Annabel Giles has died after being diagnosed with a brain tumour in July, her children said in a statement.

The I'm A Celebrity star died on Monday afternoon after being diagnosed with stage four glioblastoma in July.

The statement read: "It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the death of our incredible mother, Annabel Giles, who passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon at Martlets Hospice in Hove.

"In July, Mum was diagnosed with stage four Glioblastoma, a fast-growing and highly aggressive malignant brain tumour.

"In the four months that followed, she displayed remarkable resilience and strength, despite undergoing brain surgery and countless radiotherapies."

The statement continued: "In her final weeks, she was passionate about raising awareness for Glioblastoma, embodying her lifelong commitment to helping others.

"Mum was truly one of a kind, an enigma to those privileged to share her life. True to her nature, she kept high spirits and maintained her quick wit until the very end.

"Her humour and laughter will leave us inspired to live life to the fullest, just as she always did."

Annabel's children concluded the statement by thanking fans for their love and support and requesting privacy at this sad time.

Annabel was primarily known for her work as a television and radio presenter.

She also worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist, as well as work as a model, actress and novelist.

In 2013, she took part in the 13th series of I'm A Celebrity where she entered the jungle as a late entrance with Vincent Simone.

Annabel married lead singer of Ultravox, Midge Ure but the pair separated in 1989.

She leaves behind her two children Molly and Ted, from her previous marriage.
