I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! presenters Ant and Dec have admitted they're struggling with the "very confusing" schedule as the pair film and live in different Australian states.

The much-loved ITV show, which returned to screens last night, is filmed in Queensland but the pair are staying in New South Wales, which has an hour time difference.

Addressing the change, Dec, 48, said: "We’re struggling with the time difference here.

"Because we film the show in Queensland which is an hour behind where we are staying in New South Wales.

"It gets very confusing because we have to hop between the time zones."

According to Mail Online, Ant revealed the confusion had also caused them to be late for restaurant bookings.

For the duration of the show, the pair are believed to stay in a luxury beachside apartment which features a private pool.

To ensure they arrive for filming on time, they reportedly have a 2am wake-up call and drive for around 30 minutes to shoot pre-recorded segments.

They are said to film for two to three hours and are back home around 6.30pm.

Ahead of the show kicking off, Dec was seen enjoying some quality time with his wife Ali Astall and their two young children.

Ant flew out later than his co-star and has so far not been seen with his spouse Anne-Marie Corbett.

Landing in Oz, he told The Mirror: "It will be nice to be reunited with him, he’s had a family holiday. It will be nice to see his tan lines. We will run towards each on the beach in open arms.

"I thought last year's series was great and with this year's series, the cast is shaping up to me really strong. Very strong."

Last night, 10 new celebrities were immediately thrown into challenges in the first episode ahead of entering the camp.

The first jam-packed show of the series featured the likes of Fred Sirieix, Danielle Harold, Grace Dent and Sam Thompson taking on the iconic walk the plank challenge with a twist, while Marvin Humes, Nick Pickard and Jamie Lynn Spears sky dived and undertook their first insect-fuelled trial.

Elsewhere, Josie Gibson, Nigel Farage and Nella Rose took on their first challenge in the Australian outback's red desert 2000 miles away from their co-stars to gain stars for their fellow celebs.

Tonight, Nigel and Nella face the show's first Bushtucker eating trial titled Jungle Pizzeria.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
