won his seventh ATP Finals title last night with a dominant win over who had beaten the Serb earlier in the tournament. Djokovic cruised to a 6-3 6-3 victory in Turin as he added yet another milestone to his incredible career at the expense of his Italian rival.

Djokovic produced a near-faultless opening set before retaining control in the second to dispatch Sinner, who fought hard but was simply unable to lay a glove on his opposite number. The former now stands alone having won the title seven times, beating the record of six titles he previously shared with Roger Federer.

After the match, Djokovic wasted no time in raising the bar as he outlined his plan to win a Golden Slam next year, saying: "You can win four Slams and Olympic gold, let's see. I have always the highest ambitions and goals. That's not going to be different for the next year, that's for sure.

"The drive that I have is still there. My body has been serving me well, listening to me well. I have a great team of people around me."

Djokovic wants rivals to feel pressure

Novak Djokovic has admitted that he wants the likes of Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz to feel extra pressure when they face him on the court.

"Yeah, I mean, I want them to feel that kind of pressure," explained the Serb after winning the ATP Finals last night.

"When they play me, I want them to feel that it's going to require the best tennis from them in order to win against me.

"That's what I want my opponents to feel, no doubt, because that helps [me] mentally coming into the match."

Nadal offers training update

Rafael Nadal has taken to Instagram to update fans on his recovery from the long-term injury which has kept him on the treatment table for much of this year.

In a short video, the Spaniard was seen training on the practice courts with Marc Lopez as well as his long-time coach Carlos Moya.

Sinner backed to win future Slams

Goran Ivanisevic believes that Jannik Sinner is more than capable of winning Grand Slam titles after finishing as the runner-up at last week's ATP Finals.

"I like his tennis, I think with his team in the last year he has improved a lot," said Ivanisevic.

"He improved his serve and his coming to the net. He’s playing much better volleys.

"Jannik really stepped up this year. He showed the world and himself that he’s ready next year to win Grand Slams and he’s not afraid of anybody."

Medvedev reveals 2024 plan

Daniil Medvedev, who lost to Jannik Sinner in the last four of the ATP Finals, is planning to go straight into next year's Australian Open without playing in any warm-up tournaments.

"I'm probably going to play only Australian Open," he said.

"I'm going to try like this to have more of a vacation time than usual and more of an off-season time and start with a slam straight away, which is going to be new for me, but let's see."

Djokovic explains retirement stance

Novak Djokovic has revealed that he will only think about retiring from tennis when the sport's younger generation of players start beating him at high-profile events.

Speaking after last night's win over Sinner, he said: "As long as I'm able to beat them in major tournaments I'll keep moving forward.

"Why should I stop if I'm still winning these tournaments? When they start beating me, I will consider retiring."

Swiatek hails Djokovic

Iga Swiatek has sent a classy message to Novak Djokovic in the wake of his record-breaking seventh ATP Finals triumph.

She took to X, formerly Twitter, to congratulate the Serb on his latest achievement.

Sinner makes Djokovic prediction

Jannik Sinner believes that he and his fellow young stars will need to wait several more years before getting the chance to topple Novak Djokovic.

The Italian hopeful, who was brushed aside by Djokovic at the ATP Finals last night, said: "His body is in an incredible shape. We're going to see him around for I don't know how many years still."

Another huge payday for Djokovic

Novak Djokovic has collected £3.5m in prize money for winning the ATP Finals, according to Sportico.

It pushes Djokovic's total prize money for the year to just shy of £13m despite the Serb only playing in 12 events.

He now holds six of the top 10 prize money seasons of all time, with his career total now standing at £144.6m.

Djokovic's coach jokes about Nadal

Novak Djokovic's coach Goran Ivanisevic wants the Serb to avoid drawing Rafael Nadal in the early rounds of next year's Australian Open, with the Spaniard set to be unseeded in Melbourne.

He joked: "It's going to be interesting, Rafa not seeded. He can play first round anybody. You don't want to see Rafa first round in the hotel!"
