Coronation Street's Asha Alahan has been spending more time with a new close friend which is starting to put a wedge in her relationship with Nina Lucas.

It looks as though there’s trouble in paradise between Coronation Street's fan-favourite couple Nina Lucas (played by Mollie Gallagher) and Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey).
Recently, Asha has made a new friend called Isla, who she seems to be spending more and more time with.
Friction first started to occur in recent scenes when Asha revealed she was meeting up with her friend on the same day she agreed to do something with her girlfriend.
However, that wasn’t the only thing that bothered Nina as Asha failed to mention the anti-spiking demonstration to her,
Later on in the week the three of them head off for some food with Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain), although when Asha and Isla bond over work, Nina is visibly bored.
Official spoilers for the ITV soap reveal there’s more drama ahead as there could be trouble on the cards for the couple.
Asha reveals that she and Isla are going to be spending the day going through coursework together before having dinner.
Not liking her girlfriend spending so much time with Isla, Nina comes clean and admits she’s jealous.
However, Asha assures her there is nothing to worry about as she is just friends with Isla.

Is Asha telling the truth? Or is she developing feelings for the new friend in her life?
It’s not just Asha in the Alahan family who is having a tough time in their love life as her brother Aadi recently got dumped by his girlfriend Courtney Vance (Stephanie Davis).
After sneaking around in an affair, they decided to give their relationship a go by moving in together.
Although after a while, the realities of Aadi’s financial situation sunk in and Courtney went back to her husband Darren (Ryan Early).
It looks as though there could be another woman in Aadi’s sights as fans seem to think romance is on the cards for him and his friend Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney).
Speaking to Digital Spy about their relationship, soap star Elle Mulvaney said: “As a viewer watching, we're all rooting for them because everyone can see that they've got a great friendship.
“They're so similar and share a great sense of humour with their one-liners.
"The McDonalds and the Alahans are both iconic families so I think as viewers, everyone wants them to get together.”
Coronation Street continues on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
