ITV Deal or No Deal fans issue the same complaint minutes into new series

Deal or No Deal made its epic return on Monday with Stephen Mulhern at the helm of the show.

Deal or No Deal: Stephen Mulhern introduces new series

The original series of Deal or No Deal was hosted by Noel Edmonds, however, the reboot of the series sees Stephen Mulhern fronting the show.

As the new series got underway on Monday, fans were left divided by the change and many took to social media to share their thoughts.

While some pleaded for Noel to make a return, others were unhappy with the format change.

One pointed out that the jackpot used to be £250,000 instead of £100,000.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, @Luke_Honour pleaded: "No sense of drama !! Bring back Noel !! #dealornodeal." (sic)

@Lisa__Maxwell noted: "ITV clearly must be on a budget. I’m sure the top prize used to be £250k. #dealornodeal." (sic)

@daraja1 echoed: "They got rid of the £250,500 box in the new #DEALORNODEAL."

@morley_751 said: "Bring back Noel Edmonds."

"#dealornodeal Didn’t it used to be £250,000 top prize? Seems disappointing to be trying to win a prize that’s less than half of what it used to be," @LM_LouiseMorgan added.

However, some fans loved the reboot of the ITV series as @Tyrese54275942 commented: "The fact that we're getting a daily @StephenMulhern and @antanddec is a dream come true." (sic)

Introducing the show, new host Stephen began: "Welcome to the all new Deal or No Deal.

"New host...new contestants and even a brand new banker, but one little question remains the same, Deal or No Deal?"

After the credits rolled, Stephen introduced the show's new contestants, he continued: "You can feel the excitement here.

"It is because one of this lovely lot is about to join me up here and become the first-ever contestant on this brand new series of Deal or No Deal."

Addressing the jackpot prize, he added: "But who is going to be in with a chance of winning £100,000.

"So you know what? We are about to find out."

The ITV host then revealed contestant Sian would be the first person to play the ITV reboot.
