Jordan Banjo made an admission about his 2009 win while speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk.

The Diversity star won the talent show almost 15 years ago at the age of just 16.

The dance group were in the final against Susan Boyle but won the series and have continued to perform together ever since.

Jordan has also gone on to establish a career outside of the dance group, taking part in in 2016 and then again in 2023's spin-off version in South Africa.

Talking about his huge success, Jordan made a candid admission.

He explained: "I was quite a cynical 16-year-old.

"When we first won [Britain's Got Talent] I was doing my GCSEs and I remember saying, like a grumpy old man, I was like, 'Listen boys, we've got to make the most of this.'

"But I really thought soon there'll be someone else up there next year.

"But here we are 15 years later, really lucky and we really enjoy it still and we do recognise how lucky we are."

Reflecting on his stint in the Australian jungle in the popular ITV reality show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, Jordan recalled: "The first time I went in I was quite young, and it was a weird one because I'd never done anything else outside of Diversity.

"I'd always been with Diversity, with all the boys.

"And we'd sort of had the privilege of a sold-out O2, but when I walked up the high street, nobody knew.

"Perri [Kiely] was known for being like the kid with glasses but for me, it was literally the dream but also very normal at the same time, so I was already a bit nervous.

"Ash [Banjo] said, 'you should do it, you should do it.'"

He continued: "I got in and there and there was Carol Vorderman and everyone and I felt a bit overwhelmed.

"But this time was a lot easier, I went in and first of all I had Carol there again who I know, and Ash does Pride of Britain with Carol, and she's always lovely.

"It was really cool and you know what to expect this time."

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues on Tuesday at 9pm on ITV.
