Inside King Charles and Queen Camilla's lavish four-course State Banquet menu

The King and Queen are hosting the President and First Lady of South Korea at Buckingham Palace along with other senior royals.

King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to welcome the President and First Lady of South Korea for a State Banquet at Buckingham Palace this evening.

The royals formally welcomed the couple, who arrived at Stansted Airport in Essex on Monday afternoon, earlier today.

As well as the King and Queen, the Prince and Princess of Wales also formally met the guests on Tuesday.

At this evening's State Banquet, senior royals such as the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duchess of Edinburgh and The Princess Royal will be present among guests.

And they will join their visitors in a lavish sit-down meal, the official menu of which has now been revealed by the palace.

According to the officially-released menu, those in attendance will be treated to four dishes, consisting of a starter, a main, a salad and a dessert.

The starter will consist of a warm tartlet of soft poached egg and spinach puree.

Following this, attendees will be enjoying a dish of breast of Windsor pheasant, served with croquette of celeriac and calvados sauce.

The guests will also be served a salad, as well as a dessert in the form of a mango ice cream bombe.

This marks Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife Kim Keon Hee's first incoming state visit since King Charles’s Coronation - and the second of his reign.

On Tuesday morning, the Prince and Princess of Wales played a key role by greeting the President and the First Lady at their hotel.

The royal couple then travelled with the guests to the ceremonial welcome on Horse Guards Parade in London.

The guests were then met by the King and Queen for a welcome full of traditional pomp and pageantry.

Following a royal salute, the President and the King inspected troops on the parade ground.

The King, Queen and the Prince and Princess of Wales joined their guests in a carriage procession down The Mall to the Palace.

Upon reaching the Palace, the royals and guests were treated to a private lunch and a visit to see Royal Collection exhibits in the Picture Gallery.
