Meghan Markle's 'mum's night out' without Prince Harry as 'exciting things' on the horizon

Meghan Markle gushed over how "proud" she is over her joint upcoming Netflix projects with Prince Harry.

She said: "Things that make people feel– I was going say 'good', but it’s more than that, things that make people feel something, right?

"And feel a sense of community. on the slate. I can’t wait until we can announce them, but I’m just really proud of what we’re creating. My husband is loving it, too. It’s really fun."

Asked about the renewed popularity her old show Suits has enjoyed this year on streaming services, the duchess expressed her amazement and said:

"Isn't that wild? It was great to work on, such a great cast and crew. We had a really fun time. I was on it for seven seasons, so quite a bit.

"But it’s hard to find a show you can binge-watch that many episodes of these days, so that could have something to do with it. But good shows are everlasting."

Variety's Power of Women awards celebrate women in the entertainment industry and this year they honoured many names including Carey Mulligan, Fantasia Barrino, Lily Gladstone and Billie Eilish who performed What Was I Made For? with her brother Finneas O’Connell.

Margot Robbie won Producer of the Year, while Emily Blunt received the Power of Women Alumni Award.

The star-studded event saw DiCaprio, Dua Lipa, Emerald Fennell, Ariana Greenblatt and Oprah Winfrey introduce award winners.
