Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's biographer Omid Scobie has lashed out over claims that he is close with the Sussexes.

The co-author of , 42, and , 39, unofficial biography Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of A Modern is set to release another book Endgame set to hit shelves on November 28.

One royal insider told The Mirror that " and appear to be " in Endgame but now Mr Scobie, 42, has hit back at the idea that he is sympathetic to the Sussexes.

Writing on X (formerly Twitter), he said: "Let’s get this nonsense out the way - Endgame is about the current state of the British Royal Family.

"It’s not 'Harry and Meghan’s book', I’m not 'Meg’s pal' the Sussexes have nothing to do with it, their story is a small part of a much bigger one you can read in 12 days."

Endgame was initially meant to come out in August but publishers pushed the release back to November so material from the King's Coronation could be included.

A teasing description of Endgame on Amazon reads: “A penetrating investigation into the current state of the British monarchy - an unpopular king, a power-hungry heir to the throne, a queen willing to go to dangerous lengths to preserve her image and a prince forced to start a new life after being betrayed by his own family.”

While the book is about the Royal Family at large, it at least touches, in part, on as well as Harry's relationship with Prince William.

In an excerpt of the book published by People, Mr Scobie wrote: "[William] believes Harry and Meghan blindsided the family, even the Queen, with their public complaints and their ‘oh so California’ self-importance (an opinion he has repeatedly voiced in various ways to friends and aides during the past two years)."

Mr Scobie continued: "Convinced Harry’s been brainwashed by an ‘army of therapists,’ William says he no longer even recognizes his own brother, a source said."

Some royal insiders are said to be furious with the new book that reportedly details private moments within the family including around the Queen's death more than a year ago.
