Prince Andrew spotted for first time since being urged to speak to FBI

Prince Andrew has been spotted riding his horse near his home in Windsor, accompanied by his groom.

has been photographed for the first time since being urged to speak to the FBI.

The royal was seen riding his horse in Windsor accompanied by his groom, the same week he has been urged to speak to US authorities following the arrest of one of his friends over sexual assault charges.

Fashion mogul Peter Nygard has been convicted on four counts of teenage sexual abuse in Canada, with Andrew reportedly having stayed at Mr Nygard's mansion in the Caribbean in the past.

On November 17 the was snapped in public for the first time since the charges were revealed, after US attorney Spencer Kuvin spoke to the media about Andrew's conduct.

Mr Kuvin, who has represented multiple victims of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, told The Mirror: "If Prince Andrew is innocent, he should provide a full interview to the FBI.

"His continued silence in the face of – Ghislaine Maxwell and now Peter Nygard – reeks of a guilty conscience."

He added: "Failing to provide a full and truthful accounting creates further damage by favouring silence over truth."

A 35-year-old victim of Epstein's, who died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial for sexual assault, hit out at the Duke: "Andrew’s words were just hollow. It is clear to many he never had any intention of helping any of us; otherwise, he would have told the FBI what he knew. No wonder we think he is telling lies."

In 2019 Andrew was forced to step down as a working royal following his Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis, in which he attempted to defend his friendship with the convicted paedophile.

He has also vehemently denied claims he had sex with Virginia Giuffre when she was 17 in London, after she was trafficked into the UK by Epstein.

Despite no longer serving the Firm as a full-time member, Andrew still lives at Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate, the home he first rented out 20 years ago.

As he signed a 75-year lease on the property, the Duke is also responsible for all upkeep and refurbishments, even though his maintenance grant from King Charles has been cut.
