Prince William's 'playful side' on display as he opens up about his favourite drink

The Prince of Wales was fielding questions about his Earthshot prize and was commended for being more social than usual.

Prince William has received praise for his latest public appearance, with royal experts noting that he was more "playful" than usual as he discussed his Earthshot prize.

The Prince of Wales was interviewed by climate journalist Sophia Lin in Singapore, who asked him more casual questions than perhaps he's used to answering.

Fortunately, Prince William seemed up for the task.

The eldest son of the late Princess Diana admitted that he's not a fan of coffee, always preferring a proper English tea to "pep him up."

Lin also asked him about his favourite season, to which he said "Autumn."

But Prince William also betrayed his hand when he was asked whether ambition or hope was more important.

He answered: "Both. Can I say both? I have to have ambition and hope together because that's what the Earthshot is about."

Lin then got a bit more challenging with the questions, which got her a word of praise from the Prince of Wales.

He also noted that it was important to have both nature-based, and tech-based, solutions for the climate crisis.

The Prince of Wales said: "I think for that one you'd have to have both as well. I think we haven't got time. I think you need nature-based solutions alongside tech-based solutions.

"I don't think it's an either or, I think we need everything in our arsenal to tackle the environmental challenges."

The Prince of Wales travelled solo to Singapore, where he announced the next edition of the Prize will be held in China.

During his stay, William admitted he planned to go "a step further" than the Royal Family to bring change to the world.

He insisted the institution, and its members, have been "spotlighting brilliantly" multiple causes over the years but he'd like to delve "deeper."

William said: "I care about so many things and previously the family have been very much spotlighting brilliantly and going round and highlighting lots – I want to go a step further.

“I want to actually bring change and I want to bring people to the table who can do the change if I can’t do it.”
