Robbie Williams fan rushed to hospital in critical condition after horror fall at concert

A woman is understood to have been placed in an induced coma is a result of injuries she sustained at the Robbie Williams concert, according to reports.

A woman in her 70s has reportedly been rushed to hospital in critical condition after falling at ' concert at Allianz Stadium in Sydney, Australia on Thursday night.

The woman is said to have been treated for injuries to her face and head.

According to the Daily Telegraph, she was tragically put into an induced coma as a result of her severe injuries.

Sky News has said that paramedics were called to Allianz Stadium on Driver Avenue at Moore Park at about 10.15pm after being told a woman had fallen at the venue.

A NSW Ambulance Service spokesman told the broadcaster that the woman was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in critical condition.

The woman was apparently attempting to climb over seats on the upper grandstand level of the stadium when she fell at the end of the concert.

Venues NSW confirmed to Sky News that this had been a "serious incident", describing it as "terribly sad" in a statement.

The statement read: "This is a terribly sad incident and our thoughts and wishes are with the patron and their family during this time," a statement to SkyNews.com.au read.

"The patron was attended to immediately by venue staff and a nearby guest who is a qualified medical professional.

"Medics arrived shortly after and the patron was taken from the venue by ambulance to hospital."

The agency added that it would be working with the police, promising to provide updates where possible.

Angels singer Robbie performed to a huge crowd of 38,000 people at Allianz Stadium in the latest leg of his XXV tour of Australia and New Zealand.

The star is yet to address the incident that occurred at his concert on Thursday night, but previously took to Instagram to tell his 2.9 million followers what an "unforgettable evening" it had been.

Sharing snaps from the gig to his grid, he wrote: "Sydney: that was an unforgettable evening, thank you - I love you, Australia.

"Congratulations to Daniel and Lauren - I wish you a lifetime of happiness together. Rob x."

His comments come after the star agreed to stop his Sydney concert so that love-struck fan Daniel could propose to his girlfriend Lauren.
