Prince William ‘thriving on his own’ and ‘won’t shed a tear’ over Harry missing Christmas

The royal expert claimed that the reason why Prince William wasn't considering a reconciliation went beyond this year's attacks from Prince Harry.

Prince William is thriving on his own and won’t shed a tear over Prince Harry missing Christmas according to a royal expert.

The claims have been made as speculation grows over whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be invited to spend Christmas at Sandringham with other senior members of the Royal Family.

The couple have reportedly said they would be happy to spend the festive period there despite not receiving an invitation.

According to Royal commentator Jennie Bond, Prince William would be happy for the couple not to attend.

What’s more, she said the heir to the throne had been thriving in 2023, a year which has proved tumultuous for his brother since the release of Spare in January.

Speaking to GB News, Ms Bond said: “Harry’s absence from the celebrations at Sandringham will be painfully obvious.

"Little Archie and Lilibet should be running around with their many cousins, pulling crackers, opening presents and understanding their place in the family, connecting with their relatives even though their lives are thousands of miles away.

"But that’s not going to happen. I don’t think William will be shedding a tear over this. Deep down, I’m sure he still loves Harry, but I don’t think he can see a way out of the rift that has opened between them.”

Ms Bond also said that Prince William had been performing incredibly well on the world stage with successful solo trips abroad and at home.

Ms Bond told the Sun: “William is thriving on his own. He is fiercely facing forward with his life, he’s forging ahead with his causes and preaching hope and optimism about projects to save the planet.

"He is shining on the world stage and, in truth, he’s probably quite happy not to share it with Harry. I think William has closed his mind to the prospect of reconciliation with Harry.

“I can’t see a time when Meghan would be welcomed back into the bosom of the family - or a time when she would ever want to be welcomed back.”

According to Ms Bond, the reason why Prince William has no interest in reconciling with his brother is because of something deeper.

She told OK!: “I think William has closed his mind to thoughts of reconciliation any time soon and has simply moved on with his life.

"It’s probably his coping mechanism, just as Harry says he blocked out all feelings about losing his mother for the first few years after Diana’s death."

Ms Bond added that for the moment, plans for a reconciliation are on hold as he enjoys his newfound momentum in his new role.

She explained: “William will probably have to deal with the rift with Harry one day but right now he is making his mark as Prince of Wales and enjoying great popularity and a wonderfully happy home life.”
