It Takes Two viewers have hit out over the latest episode of the programme, with many branding a paddle game segment a "waste of time".

Taking to Twitter during the episode, Zinone remarked: "Could this paddle game on #ittakestwo be scraping the barrel any lower?"

Ryan fumed: "Please can we have the Pro Challenge next week please over this bl**dy panel game? A load of rubbish. #ItTakesTwo."

Kimberly added: "This is painful. Are they seriously wasting half of the show on this ridiculous "game"."

Martin noted: "@bbcstrictly This paddle game is a huge waste of time and very, very dull #ittakestwo."

Despite the backlash, other viewers appeared to enjoy the episode which jumped between the game and interviews at Blackpool Tower Ballroom with the contestants.

Following Layton Williams' interview at the ballroom with Fleur East, Siobhan said: "Layton saying he just wants to make Nikita proud this weekend. He's such a sweetie."

Another user penned in light of their followers: "These dances are all looking really solid #ItTakesTwo."

Host Janette Manrara played the paddle game with her guests for the evening who included Dan Walker, Maisie Adam and Owain Wyn Evans.
